Warli painting is a form of tribal art mostly created by the tribal people from the north Sahyadri range in Maharashtra India. Warli paintings are among the finest example of the folk style of paintings. The Warli culture is centred around the concept of mother nature and elements of nature are often focal points depicted in Warli painting. Warli artist use their clay huts as the backdrop for the paintings. The Warli only paint with a white pigment made from a mixture of rice flour and water mixed with gum used as a binder. A bamboo stick is chewed at the end to give it the texture of a paint brush. Walls are painted only to mark special occasions such as weddings, festivals or harvests. My art work- My art work- 'Heal the World' is dedicated by saying that only when we are healed from the inside, that we will be able to heal the world outside. Everyone in the world is dependent on earth to save ourselves we need to save our planet. Water bodies should be kept clean, avoid using plastic, decrease air pollution so we can have clean air to breathe. When our earth is healthy we can all heal in a happy environment this all we have added up to our drawing by making a familiar background. To make this art- I have used an A4 size mount board depicting the background of the hut. I have painted it with brown poster colour i have also used white paper, colourful paper, half sponge ball and painted it with green and blue and i have also used white paint for the background.
