THE FUTURE FOUNDATION SCHOOL
I have made a wall hanging by using the warli art style.
Warli art is a form of tribal art made by the tribal people of North Sahyadri Range in Maharashtra in India. This style of painting was started by Jivya Soma Mashe in the year 1970. Warli painting is mainly done by the women tribal folk. The most important part of this style of art is it does not depend on mythological characters or images of deities. This style mainly depicts social life. Drawings of human beings, animals, birds, various patterns and flowers are made. These kinds of paintings are usually made by the tribal women folk. At times this style of painting is also made during weddings to decorate. Previously people used rice paste or flour mixed with water to make the design on black objects. I made a circular cut out of the black paper. Then I drew a festival scene using the warli art style. I used white colour and a brush to colour it.
