<Veg Biryani with Flattened Rice> 

 This veg biryani is an aromatic dish made by soaking the Flattened Rice or Poha ,then mix vegetables , herbs and spices are mixed with it to give it a healthier touch. Traditionally Biryani is made by dum cooking process and marinated meat, basmati rice and several other spices are also used. This veg biryani is a healthier version of that traditional biryani. 

Recipe - Soaked flattened Rice Chopped onions Chopped tomatoes Grated carrots Chopped green chillies Peas Cardamom, cinnamon and clove Clarified butter or ghee Salt Biryani Spice mix All of the above ingredients are mixed together and the healthy biryani is prepared. 

Healing properties - 

POHA-It is a good source of carbohydrates, packed with iron, rich in fibre, a good source of antioxidants and essential vitamins and is gluten free. 

ONIONS - onions contain fiber and folic acid, a B vitamin that helps the body make healthy new cells. 

TOMATOES - it can help protect your cells from damage. Tomatoes also have potassium, vitamins B and E, and other nutrients. 

CARROTS -They're rich in beta-carotene, a compound your body changes into vitamin A, which helps keep your eyes healthy. And beta-carotene helps protect your eyes from the sun and lowers your chances of cataracts and other eye problems. 

GREEN CHILLIES  - Promotes digestion: Loaded with dietary fiber, green chillies help in better digestion. 

Cinnamon,cardamom and cloves - cinnamon is full of antioxidants , cloves contain anti - microbials which aid in digestion and cardamom may contain Cancer-Fighting Compounds.
