 Laccha Kachori 

Laccha Kachori is one of the traditional and popular snack . It is a variation in basic kachori recipe and is also known as khasta kachori . Khasta refers to flaky crust and so a laccha kachori is a crust stuffed with various ingredients. A laccha kachori is a delicious filing evening snack with variety of flavors from sweet and salty to sour and spicy. It also has many nutritive values. All in all it is a cream of the crop. Laccha kachori is said to have its origin in Rajasthan, India. It is a very common street food of Mumbai and Delhi. It is believed that this kachori was created by the Marwaris, in the heart of Marwar. 

Recipe: 

Ingredients- • Ready made potato and corn flour katori • Boiled potatoes • Sprouts • Chick peas • Green chutney • Red chutney • Sev Bhujia • Boondi • Chopped onions • Coriander leaves • Curd • Cumin powder • Chat masala powder • Salt • Red chilly powder ProcessTake the Katori . Add some boiled and peeled potatoes, chick peas and chopped onions. Next add some sprouts. Top with some beaten curd. Next add green chutney and sweet tamarind chutney as required. Sprinkle some chaat masala, cumin powder , salt and red chili powder, as required. Add some boondi. Sprinkle some sev on top. Lastly, to garnish chopped coriander leaves. 

Nutritive value: Along with its lip smacking taste it is also very healthy and have many nutritive values. Potatoes are rich in vitamins and antioxidants. Sprouts are rich in protein, folate, magnesium, Phosphorus and Manganese.Chick peas are rich in iron and protein . Onions have vitamin, minerals and fiber. Coriander leaves are rich in vitamin C and K, magnesium and iron. Pomegranate seeds are rich in vitamin C, potassium and fiber. Curd is rich in protein and carbohydrates.
