What is Jhal Muri ?
Jhalmuri is a popular Bengali street snack, made of puffed rice and an assortment of spices, vegetables, chanachur / bhujia and mustard oil. This chaat (Indian Street Food), unlike most other chaat, is not deep-fried, making it much more nutritious and a healthier choice. It’s low in calorie, light, vegan and gluten free too and can be prepared in less than 10 minutes. Main
Ingredients:
1 bowl of Puffed rice
1 medium sized potato boiled and peeled
½ cup cucumber peeled and chopped
1 small onion finely chopped
½ tb spoon rock salt
1 green chili
Ginger thinly sliced
1 small bowl of Chanachur/ bhujia
½ tomato cut into pieces
Small pieces of coconut
Some chopped coriander leaves
Mustard oil
How to make Jhal Muri?
Pour the puffed rice in a mixing bowl.
Gradually add other ingredients.(except salt , oil and coriander leaves)
Stir gently
Add some salt and mustard oil and mix it properly
Garnish it with coriander leaves
Serve it with Tea or Coffee
