This painting is done with a variety of tools, including fingers, twigs, brushes, nib-pens, and matchsticks and using natural dyes and pigments. It is characterised by its eye-catching geometrical patterns. The content of Madhubani art is based on particular occasions, such as birth or marriage and festivals such as Holi, Surya Shasti, Kali puja, Upanayana, and Durga puja.

This area is not very far from the city of Mumbai. Palghar district is the most famous among other places. About WarliArt : This is a form of wall painting which uses a set of basic geometric shapes; a circle, a triangle and a square. It is mainly drawn on the outer wall of the tribal hut. Motifs of gods and people are painted in Warli art. One of the central aspects depicted in many Warli paintings is the Tarpa dance of the tribal people in this area. Warli paintings were not very well represented in the Indian tribal art until the 1970s. There is no actual evidence of the origin of this art, but it dates back to the 10th century AD.
